Your Winter Pest Control Update
❄️ Seasonal Tips & Tricks
1. Seal Entry Points: Pests seek warmth during colder months. Inspect and seal cracks around windows, doors, and the foundation to prevent their entry.
2. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep your home tidy, especially the kitchen, to eliminate food sources that attract pests. Regularly dispose of garbage and store food in sealed containers.
3. Maintain Your Yard: Rake leaves and dispose of them promptly, as piles of leaves can provide a perfect hiding spot for pests. Keep your lawn and garden tidy, and trim back any overgrown vegetation near your home’s foundation.
4. Proper Firewood Storage: Store firewood at least 20 feet away from your home and elevate it off the ground to deter pests from nesting.
5. Regular Inspections: Schedule routine inspections to detect and address potential pest issues before they escalate.

(Recipes submitted by our employees to share with you at home)
This Seasons Alta chef is:
“This recipe has been in our family for generations and is a perfect hearty meal for the colder winter months. When I moved out after high school, I never had the time or the equipment to sit down and make a pot roast the way I was taught. But I did have a crockpot, so I tweaked my grandmother’s recipe slightly to what it is today. Hope you enjoy! P.S. This pot roast has won 1,000,000 competitions…in my family…where I was the only judge. 🙂”

Building Homes in Guatemala:
At Alta, we believe in giving back to communities in need. This year, we partnered with our incredible team for a life-changing charity trip to Guatemala, where we worked together to build homes for families in need.
What made this initiative truly special was the personal dedication of our employees. Many generously donated a portion of their own earnings to participate, reflecting their deep commitment to making a difference. As a company, we united across all departments for a special day of giving, dedicating proceeds from our work to support this meaningful cause.
During the trip, we were proud to complete three homes, each at a different stage of construction:
• Home 1: We laid the foundation, carried materials, and poured the footings.
• Home 2: Our team learned and applied brick masonry skills, constructing walls that reached heights of 5 to 10 feet.
• Home 3: We landscaped the property and added finishing touches with a fresh coat of paint.
This effort was guided by the heartfelt stories of hundreds of families who applied for assistance. After careful consideration, we selected three families in remote areas who were in the greatest need of safe, secure housing.
The experience was both humbling and rewarding, strengthening our shared purpose to uplift and empower communities. Thank you to our employees and partners who made this mission possible—your generosity and hard work are truly inspiring. Together, we’re building brighter futures, one home at a time.
